    Extractor fan power source

Thanks, I took mains as the socket circuit, so it's basicly the same as adding a light to the existing lights.

    Extractor fan power source

Thanks, most the instructions have said it needs to be wired to the mains for power then to the lighting circuit for it's on/off function, maybe I've misunderstood or just ain't finding the right one.

    Extractor fan power source

Hi, I've just had a new ensuite fitted and now steam is a problem. Is there such a thing as an extractor fan which gets it's power from a light fitting only? Rather than the mains, this would make the job a lot easier and save ripping up a lot of a newly plastered wall. Thanks!

Anyone used this? my local tile merchant only stocks this tanking system and I was wondering how it rates? He said you get 8Kg, no primer because you don't need it and a roll of scrim, apply one layer, apply the scrim on corners and edges leave it for 2 hours then apply a second coat. I...

    Can I spur a spur?

That's what I thought it was like before investigation, turns out now that the 2nd socket is connected on it's own then the boiler spurs of this and the socket at the bottom is connected on it's own not un a ring, the se as all the sockets in the house.

    Can I spur a spur?

Thanks, that would explain why in the conservatory the spark rather than extending the ring added a new consumer unit with rcd protection. Think I've over thought the problem the socket I wanted to spur from we don't use so I'm just going to move the whole thing into the utility room, the...

    Can I spur a spur?

Just checked every socket in the house and they all only have one cable, and appear to all connect to a large junction (this could be the lights though, still investgating). The consumer unit is an old style one with wired fuses, 3 x 15a 2x5a and 1x30a, I take out the 30a and non of the...
