    Honeywell CM907 replacement

Hi The screen has gone on my underfloor heating thermstat (seems to be a common problem - tried a fix that was unsucessfull). Someone on another thread said the Honeywell T4 replaces it although both are available at very similar prices (T4 is very slightly cheaper!). Is there any reason not to...

    shower/bath waste question

I've got my shower and bath waste on the same pipe. The pipe is currently 1.5" but I am upgrading this to 2". The pipe runs from the shower, after 1 meter the bath waste joins it, another meter and there is a 90 degree bend and then it runs for 2.5 meters out of the wall and into the soil...

what filler between skirting and heated floor tiles?

Using caulk on the top of the skirting but should I use something else more robust between UFH porcelain tiles and the bottom of the skirting: frame sealant, silicone, something else or is caulk good enough for the job? Thanks

Joist hangers - Minimum nails required?

if its just one or 2 boards that are springy then try screwing the boards down better with flooring screws. What thickness are the boards (chipboard from the look of it)? if its only 18mm I would suggest the boards aren't thick enough for the job. Personally I wouldn't want a chipboard floor...

the cpu fan (the one on the motherboard) looks very cheap and doesn't even look like its mounted correctly. the case fan also looks very cheap, no wonder it makes lots of noise. Joist hangers - Minimum nails required?

I have just repaired a floor using some simpson joist hangers and it states on the hanger itself what nails to use and how many in which part for top wrap or not top wrap. My joists ar 3"x7" and I think it is (for top wrap) 4 nails into the joist, 8 nail into the face and 4 nails into the top...
