random orbit sander fault

My random orbit sander just spins at high speed now, start it of on the wood with pressure and the motor just hums because it just wants to spin quickly.
I have stripped it down and cleaned all the dust out but it is still the same.
It was working fine this morning.
Is it for the scrap heap or is there something I cn do to fix it?
 
to answer my own question:
the bearing on the bottom has collapsed. I'm going to see if I can source a new one but it looks like a new sander
