    Leak in pipe under boiler

Morning guys, I've got a leak and I've traced it to the pipe that’s leaving my boiler which connects onto the same waste pipe as the sink and then into the stack pipe. It’s a connector half way down the flexi pipe that the leak is coming from and I can see it’s all manky, so it just looks like...

Keeping in heat - any ideas

Wow thanks for all your help and suggestions everyone. I do own the flat so am tempted to explore the making a hole and insulating within that void option - my only reservation is what will greet me as last summer there was a hench wasps nest in there that the pest guys sprayed..I’m surprised...

Hi all, Our bedroom simply will not get hotter than 16 degrees! We’ve got a baby on the way and his cot is in our bedroom so we’re trying to work out how to make it warmer for him. I’ve re-sealed the windows, which are double glazing. I’ve put the heat reflective foil behind the radiator. I’ve...

Sounds about right.. when he disconnected both ends of the flexi pipe, he blew down it and said it sounded clear but maybe a scale build up is the cause! I do live in a hard water area. Nice one, thanks!

    Glow-Worm Flexicom 30CX F1 and F6 Faults

So the engineer arrived yesterday and cleared the condense pipe. Whilst he was doing it, he was trying to pour hot water into a trap inside the boiler so it went down the condense pipe to melt any build up within it; but when pouring water into the trap it wasn't flowing down. He took the filter...

    Glow-Worm Flexicom 30CX F1 and F6 Faults

Hi there people, This morning our boiler stopped working, I reset it but to no avail. We keep getting either F1 or F6 fault codes on it, F1 being Ignition Fault and F6 being Central Heating Flow Thermistor. We've also got no hot water. So no central heating or hot water on a day like this is...

    Power to shed

so i'm guessing it's fed from the main fuse box within the house but can't be certain, either that or straight into the external power box as that has trip switch fuses in it as well by the looks of it so could be either. is that what you mean by RCD protection? no won't be using this for...

thermostat lives in the living room with us, directly below the boiler and wireless unit. the dial on stat only seems to be used to set what temp we want the heating to come on at. so if we have it set at 25 then it will come on if the thermostat temperature thinks it is colder than 25. and...
