    thanks, but can't take up floorboards as under bath in new bathroom which I just don't want to take apart for this. the trouble is you got a bath going in lower and a sink higher up the pipe and obviously the original toilet too, the whole thing is a nightmare... Is there a specialist sort...

    Thanks Doitall! I took em all off replaced, with plenty of PTFE, looks like mate who did it put 2 wraps of ptfe! Just bit of problem with downstairs rad not heating, but will write back if still issue later, trying a few things now.

    Are TRV's meant to be fitted on the Flow or Return, I am guessing that the flow is the hot pipe when the TRV doesn't let any water through? If I have fitted round wrong way will rads still work>?? cos can't get no water through either! I don't think it matters, but the other two rads are...

    thanks for your reply breezer, yeah I did put two cut off on, the screw type, but when I just turned them off the screw kinda pops out a bit and is dripping water too, I managed to wind it back round but seems to be duff? does this happen often?

    I just stuck down a load of skirting last night using standard Gripfil, this stuff takes 20 mins or so to go off and left me holding each piece hard to the wall! Is there a better alternative than gripfil (other than nails) for sticking skirting to wall?

    ok thanks to you all, I got it done with 2 x 90 elbows and a bit of pipe and blow torch... If you didn't lay floor first you would have bigger holes in laminate, as a result we got 16mm holes and it looks perfect ;)

    nah couldn't extend as pipes run from left to right and up, so would have to cut down redo and dig a hole in a brand new flooring with laminate too :( thanks for help I will use the 2 elbow option
