    32mm waste with overflow

Thank you to you both, this seems to be working, I appreciate you both came up with the same answer. I’ve never seen a basin set up like this, one to know for the future!

    32mm waste with overflow

I see where you’re coming from but there is a rubber seal between the underneath of the waste to the top of the overflow plastic piece which would block the flow as per your diagram.

    32mm waste with overflow

The slot sits within the ceramic part of the basin, water can't enter via the top of the waste due to a rubber seal, nor from the underneath due to a rubber seal. Perhaps I'm not understanding your diagram?

    32mm waste with overflow

Yes it is, we were told this is what we needed. It doesn’t help that RAKs own website show this basin as having no overflow whatsoever. I appreciate I need to get an unslotted waste but my problem still exists as to how the overflow connects to a waste.

    32mm waste with overflow

Hello, The wife has bought a RAK Chameleon basin for a cloakroom. The overflow leads to a plastic piece which connects with the waste from under the sink. The issue I have is that the slotted part of the waste sits within the ceramic part of the basin, this means that the overflow water leads...

    Toilet waste pipe advice

I’m currently fitting an Abacus WC wall hung frame. Not experienced with fitting toilets so some advice would be helpful. The toilet frame comes with a 110mm elbow waste connector, I was assuming it would fit into the existing white pipe part but it is loose. Is there any adapter or should the...

    ID Screw please

We have a 70's house, the walls are solid but the internal block work is terrible. I've struggled getting decent fixings into the walls due to the walls being very crumbly. I had some of these screws supplied with Fischer UX 8 plugs for a piece of furniture to be installed. These screws &...

    Does my quote sound right?

I appreciate it’s hard to know without looking at my house but I’ve had a quote and I just want to get a sense as to whether it sounds correct or not. I have a four bed detached house in the Surrey / Hampshire area. The work quoted for is; - Removal of old potterton boiler from downstairs wc...

    Changing from vented to unvented

Hi, we’re close to completing on a new house. We think we have a vented system. There is a Potterton Profile 50e boiler downstairs. There is a cold water tank in the loft and a cylinder in an airing cupboard in the first floor. Our home buyer survey suggested that the system is old and needs...

Natura engineered wood advice where to start

I was intending on cutting out the architrave using a multi tool saw and for the boards to fit under. There are no skirting boards as they will go on afterwards. I was looking at it again last night and I think I might have a plan. I think I have to start by the stairs in order for the nosing...

Natura engineered wood advice where to start

Hi, I have an upstairs hallway which we have decided to lay Natura engineered wood flooring. Normally I would start in the corner but I'm not sure that I can do that in this room. We have matching stair nosing which locks to the click profile of the wood floor. I am thinking that I will need...
