    i have noticed hairline cracks around the wooden supports in my newly built and plastered kitchen vaulted ceiling, i take it this is the roof settling now its all finished, around the velux windows its fine, should i wait a while to check movement and then paint over the cracks at a later date...

    Thanks jeds, just to be on the safe side gonna put in some braces, had a roofer take a look and he said even though the ridge installed looks OK he would install some if it was his place, so I'm gonna install a couple and make a feature of them, thanks for your help jeds.
