    Yes you can do that if you wish ive done it before just becareful not to disurb things if it was me id screw a length of wood to it to give u a edge to cut down il asume ur useing a precast lintel if so leave a decent gap to bed the top of the lintel

    Ive had that exsact problem in my kitchen with the drainer running over the bolts i used the router to cut a 10mm ish rebate free hand to accomodate the lip on the underside and clipped were i could and bonded the area i couldnt no issues at all

    No dryzone does not stain the brick but sjud only beused after you have tried to solve the isues by other means high ground level outsise or a bridged cavity or dpc poor guttering leaky water pipe previous damp plaster ect

    Dryzone is a chemical rising damp treatment but instead of a pump the cream injected with a cartridge silicone gun brilliant product used it many times it also carrys a BCA cert

    With all respwct its a detached garage not a house if you carnt satisfy youself with the base just cast a footing around it and roof weight that depends on what you chose to do lightest and fastest is metal sheet they will be lighter than the current roof
