Cost of installing 9 radiators, looking to compare against quoted price

Could someone please advise on the rough cost of installing 9 radiators, 5 upstairs and 4 downstairs with the downstairs 4 having pipework chased in to the walls? Main run is 22mm pipe and 15mm to each radiator, the 22mm pipe feeds from an airing cupboard upstairs. The house is a typical three...

    Advice on window frame construction

I am having a room re-plastered in a house I am renovating for rental. The plaster is old and has been taken back to brick. The exposed brickwork now shows an unusual arrangement around the window. To my untrained eye, it looks like a previous owner has attempted to reduce the size of the frame...

Securing Glass Table Top to Base

I have just bought a glass-topped table on eBay. The glass top is not secured in any way to the base, it is just placed on. Link to the item --> http://www.habitat.co.uk/dublin-6-seater-oak-and-glass-dining-table/dining-tables//fcp-product/207410 This seems like asking for trouble, I checked...

    Snapped Outside Waste Pipe

Whilst inspecting an outside waste pipe I managed to snap off the end of the pipe. Now when the shower drains, water drips down the brickwork rather than being diverted to the drainpipe. I have attached some pictures. Any idea how to fix this? I have attached some pictures.

    Shower Drain Problem

I have not long moved into a new house. The shower has been draining very slowly. When I drained all the water out and took the cover off there did not seem to be any obvious outlet (i.e. pipe) to take the water away. I felt a full 360 degrees around the drain expecting to find a hole where...

Rendering washed away by heavy rain

Today I had a new UPVC door and frame fitted. When the old door frame was removed all the rendering was taken with it, and the fitters rendered the frame for me. Soon after they left the torrential downpoor began and washed away the rendering, mainly on one side. I will ask for the rendering to...
