To allow a cleanout is there a wye that I can install? Problem is the inlet would be horizontal so what tee or wye would work with a 45 degree?

Would a wye 90 degree be too extreme for the entrance and exit? There are some 67 degree wyes to allow clean out access but my maths is not up to scratch to make that work. :) I assume to cut that in I have to use flexible couplers, there's no way to make the pipe fit in with cement weld? Also...

Won't the grinder remove some of the brick? What type disc would be best?

There is a style of brick pointing used in the 70s called brick baveuse. How would you go about removing the excess pointing and tidying it up making it look like normal brickwork?
