    wood dye/ stain won't dry !! it's always sticky

    I have recently stained an unfinished solid wood light pine cabinet with blackfriars wood stain. to a dark oak. despite leaving out in strong wind for 2 days, the panels are all really tacky and sticky. What went wrong ? how do I put it right ? the cabinet was bought from argos !
