Hi, I’ve a mira sport that’s just decided to run cold, the power light is on and the low flow not lit, but no heat. I’ve been told it could be this ( TCO ) ? I’ve tested across with multi meter and I don’t have continuity ? So is this the culprit ? Thanks

Have a Biasi that for both hot water and heating ignites for approx 3 secs then cuts out and tries again, constantly does this, doesnt lock out or go to fault... Any ideas? Cheers

yeah flow rate is not as good to get decent hot water, untill rads are very hot. cheers

noticed it only ever does it with the hot water, not heating, could it be the flow switch?

Alpha cd28x - when hot tap turned on sometimes take a few seconds (20 plus) for boiler to fire up, and the amber light, one up from the bottom one flickers on and off , then boiler fires up. Some times it fires straight away, other times 20 plus seconds? Any alpha wiz kids out there who could...

trv's dont work as well on the return, and although most are bi-directional, they work better on the flow. Cheaper ones are not very accurate either, check curtains or anything not covering them either, it can effect the performance, as they sense the room temp and shut down slowly are room...

Open vented, fully pumped, close coupled with air separater , pump over run wired in, new boiler- 24 ri bosh he. Boiler makes banging noise and water floods out of expansion pipe and then header tank over flows out of over flow pipe, after it shuts down, can take an hour to do it, all rads...

Boiler and system was all fitted at same time about 10 years ago.

hot water works fine, had two pumps fitted in the last 5 years, when on heating only, boiler fires for about 5 mins, then cuts off (not reset, just reaches temp), and then fires every 2/3 mins for about 30 secs, all rads are just luke warm, but flow pipe out of boiler is red hot, return is not...

right, i now know its an elson tank, and the problem could be nothing to do with the janus heater.. Is this elson tank direct or in - direct?? there are flow and return pipes that enter the bottom, cold feed tank is part of the elson tank, and there is no other in the loft or anywhere...

i did try that, but not for long... so would it just be an air lock thats causing it? Not a blockage?? Is it a primatic system? The pipes (flow and return) just enter straight into the bottom of the square tank (elson tank?).. I cant see into the tank as it too close to the roof !

Think it may be an old Elson Tank arrangment?? how do i know if this is a primatic arrangement too??
