@MisterBoy I'm going to go with more expensive based on the research I've done so far. However I was hoping someone had found an option perhaps I hadn't discovered yet that would bring the price down. Wishful thinking ☺️
Hi,
Planning on building a retaining wall which is approximately 14m long and 1m high. Was looking at softwood sleepers but wanted to explore other options.
Interested in using Recycled plastic beams/sleepers. Couple of questions:
- Has anyone had any experience of using them?
- How do they...
Ahhhh....well I might have wrongly identified the boiler as it's British Gas branded. Find a picture of the boilers control panel. Also with the fuse, picture attached, would that not suggest it's capable of mains switching?
Thanks Chris. You mean the receiver? Had a look and couldn't see how you determine if it's capable of main's switching. How do you check?
Is the wiring correct?
Thanks. Okay.
Gone through all of the notes and the final wiring below.
BDR91 – 1x Blue Wire in N
TADO – Supply N
BDR91 - 2x Brown Wire in L

BDR91 - 1 x Brown Wire in A

Thanks Stem. I don't have a hot water cylinder. I have the middle boiler which I believe is a Vaillant ecoTec Pro 24. Does that make any difference?
Edit
Also, find attached an image of the receiver. Looks a little different to yours without the numbers. Can see the P1 though.
Hi,
Trying to replace my BDR91 with a Tado Wireless Receiver. Find a picture of my BDR91 attached.
Read a lot of different articles and believe I need to complete the following wiring.
My BDR91 doesn't appear to have a bridge between L and A. I have the following questions:
- Where does A...
@thomp1983 huge thank you for the offer but going to buy the valves. Was just busy buying the wireless kit which I’ll have a try at fitting. Thanks again for the offer.
All big thanks for your help and Thom1983 thanks for the images. Looks like there's lots of options. I think the best bet is to buy a set and put them on my downstairs radiators and then try one of them on the radiator upstairs.
Got DANFOSS RAS-D² ANGLED THERMOSTATIC TRV & LOCKSHIELD 10/15MM X...
Hi,
Considering buying the Tado Smart Thermostat and valves. However I'm not sure if my upstairs radiators will be compatible with the valves. Has anyone had any experience of installing Tado Smart Valves. Do you know how to determine if they'll fit?
Thanks all. Really appreciate the feedback. Was reading some reviews and it mentions that the cutter had chipped tiles. Want to spend a little bit more as I expect to use it on other jobs. Can anyone recommend any other brands and models? I'm thinking around £60 to £100.
Hi All,
Thanks for all of your help and apologies for not getting back to you sooner. Planning on going with:

Was thinking that this would give me flexibility for future tiling jobs. What tile cutter would you recommend...
Hi,
Merry Christmas everyone.
A bit of a newbie to tiling and cut my teeth on my first tiling project (ceramic tiles), some basic tiling around a sink.
Now need to tile a porch step and I've got some uncalibrated slate tiles, see link...

Hi All,
Replacing my backdoor which has a side window. Effectively it's four panels. 2 in the door and 2 to the side. I'm wanting to get in as much light as possible and I discussed with the builder putting in 4 panels of double glazing and the impact on heat. He said there wasn't much...
Hi,
I'm renovating my house at the moment and I've got a wired thermostat at the moment. I'd like to move over to a wireless thermostat and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations. Was looking at Heatmiser or a Honeywell. Might be a bit gimmicky but was also the ability to control the...
My toilet was having flushing problems so I replaced the Siphon.
I did however find a component that was between the donut and the base unit. My assumption was that it wasn't required but it broke whilst I was replacing the siphon so I did away with the item.
What I'm finding...
A very basic question but completely new to DIY.
I've stripped some wallpaper from a downstairs toilet and the walls are very bare as you can see from the photograph.
Planning on sanding the walls down and then painting the room white.
However unsure what paint I should be...
Hi,
New to DIY. Got a new house which is need of a little TLC. Anyway I've started on the downstairs toilet and took a piece of wood of wood that appeared to be glued to the wall. However contained raw plugs which took some of the plaster off, see below. Depth is approx 3mm.
Thought...
