Hi, looking for some advise -

I have done some reading and have a fair idea of how I’m supposed to do it. I have removed the pull and pulled...
We tried to change our landing ceiling pendant and it is now not working. The lights in the upstairs 3rd bedroom and loft are also not working (presumably as they are on the same circuit), but the upstairs bathroom and two bedrooms work.
The light is connected to two switches, one upstairs and...
I'm going to install one of those stair lighting systems where a controller illuminates each step, about ½ second apart, once triggered by a PIR sensor. The controller will be powered by a 24v transformer, and I'll be installing a mains switch for it.
Which circuit should this be connected to -...

Hi,
I have series of halogens in kitchen organised in 2 groups and fed to a single (1 way) dimmer light switch with two buttons (2 gang).
Can I replace this with a 1 way 1 gang non dimmer? Only current one has worn out and I never use one set of lights without the other.
Thanks
(Have searched but didn't find anything but would guess this has been asked before).
I need to bring 6 earth conductors together on a lighting circuit into a Wago connector.
3 x for the light fittings.
2 x for the lighting radial circuit

Wago don't make a 6 way connector...
Just wondered if someone could cast an eye over this lighting circuit and make sure I'm approaching this correctly. I want to run my smoke alarms from my lighting circuit. I also want a neutral at the switch so that I can upgrade to 'smart' switch in the future.
I'm going for the "two plate"...
Hello all, I have a very unsightly fluorescent fixture I'd like to get rid of and replace with a more pleasant modern pendant.
The only problem is that I'd like the pendant to be in the middle of the ceiling (green X on the photo), which would be about halfway into the tube on the first...
I recently changed a couple of ceiling roses for a newer ones that weren't grubby and yellow. I noticed something odd... in the fact there was only 2 cables going to them.

I've seen some wifi dimmer modules have provision for a simple on/off switch as well. Is there any kind of dumb non-wifi dimmer module like that, where I can just set the...
Hello
My aunt recently ask me to help her because the main fuse on her lighting circuit had blown. This happened when an old incandescent bulb in the house had failed.
When I looked at the fuse it was only 5 amp, rather than the usual 15. This would explain why the failing bulb managed to blow...

Hi,

So,

it shows that,
Pin 1 is live brown
Pin 2 is Blue Neutral
Pin 3 is Hot wire Black
