A local man has quoted £7k, maybe plus vat for:
- removal of tiles/membrane/flashing/batens
- new tiles/new batens/new membrane
- new ridge, either dry or old school - not sure which
- new flashing

Materials and labour.

Is this actually possible please?

This is not a fancy town or London zone.

I suspect that you might need to say the size of roof?
A bungalow is likely cheaper than a multi ridge house like I grew up in.
Scaffold costs?
Disposal?

Good point. Not sure if this helps and it is a end of terrace 3 bed.
Scaffolding is inc. and 3 days work.

Not for those clay tiles, and probably not 3 days work either.

Asbestos undercloak removal?
Insulation?
Building regs application?
Eaves protectors?
Rotten fascia and new gutters?

Excellent points.
Gutters, fascias or insulation was not mentioned.
Asbestos, eaves and regs is a good idea.

Eave protector is luckily on a few pound per strip so would not add much to materials.
The survey said Asbestos may exist under soffit. Not tested nor sure.

With roof work, finding extra things wrong - rotten fascia, rotten rafter, etc is common.

You need a way of pricing such things, as once the scaffold is up and a contractor given a job, then your options to negotiate the costs of any extra work is limited.

It's your responsibility to identify asbestos and ensure it's safe lawful disposal, not the contractors. If that gets tipped somewhere, even in a skip, and can be traced back to you, you will be penalised.

Good point, ask what is price if beams, soffit, gutter maybe poor.
Photo is only item which may contain asbestos and it could be tested out.
Thank you!

Soffit looks like asbestos - maybe Chrysotile cement, or could be the more hazardous AIB.

It could be over-clad if need be and if not disturbed
