Im fed up with arguing and the boring what you doing today threads.

I thought Id start a Did you know thread. Its a bit like my world Famous Quiz® thread. But facts and not questions.

This will be fun fun fun.

Its open to the left on a fair use basis. If they misbehave, then they will be banned from the thread.

All those on the right know how to have fun, so more the merrier. Those that sit on the central ground like @Dec27 will enjoy mixing and finding who they really want to be with.

However its not polical but political facts are allowed.

How it works:
You think of something that you know is a fact, and you post it.

It could be about anything and everything.
Political to Jackanory.

Gaza is considered an occupied territory under international law.

If you were to fire a rifle* horizontally 1m above flat ground, and dropped a second round vertically from 1m at the exact moment of firing, both rounds would hit the ground at the same time**.

*Not a gun nut, just the easiest way to describe it.
** ignoring air resistance and the curvature of the earth. (y)

Depends how accurate you are, the curvature of the earth would give the bullet something like 3-5 cm extra drop distance.
