Hi,
I need to shorten a length of grey PVC 100mm soil pipe that is between two joists. Just wondered how difficult it is to cut and also the best method. I have to do it in situ and cant remove the pipe.
Thanks,
Matthew

Hacksaw with a fine tooth blade, make sure you remove the burrs

Hacksaw with an 18pti would be a lot better, and not clog like a fine toothed one will.

have you thought about how you will rejoin the pipe when you have cut it,

If I do need to cut it then will square off and sand end then use an appropriate socketed fitting i think.

sorry Mallen i misread your original post, i thought it said between two joints not joists, that was why i asked had you thought of how to rejoin it again
