I'm laying 12mm laminate flooring in my conservatory. My old patio doors now lead into the conservatory. The patio door upvc sill at the bottom is flush with the tongue and groove chipboard floor. I've raised the conservatory door at the hinges so that it clears the laminate. However, I want to take the laminate all the way over the upvc sill at the bottom too. But just noticed that because the upvc sill isn't 100% flat it's actually higher on the door area so the door ends up getting caught on the laminate. I do not want to lift the door any further up as it will be way too much. So the two options I can think of is either trim the upvc sill down at the back or because it's just about 8-10cm then is it ok to think out the laminate flooring from the underside where it sits on the door sill?
