Hi Gents

Quick question: I'm replacing existing kitchen pendent lights with 12v downlights, I know a lighting circuit should run 10 lights with potential for 100w bulbs, but does the same rule apply on 12v lights?

Many thanks

Hi Again

Looked at a lot of your posts and totally understand the issues around downlights, I'm now going for Low energy CFL GU10 9watt lamps, I assume the number of lights per circuit applies as it would for normal pendents.

Also I'm going to replace the downlights in my bedroom, no wonder our lecky bill's so high!

A 50W 12V Lamp is roughly the same, 2 X 50W same as a 100w GLS.

9W is 9W so you can have many more, however the lamp could be changed for higher wattage GU10 lamps at a later stage, so do not add to many.

Many thanks for that I'll err on the safe side, as I'm taking out 3 pendents I've a bit to play with.

Thanks again
