I have a 12v supply fed under ground in protected tubing to a tree which has 3 spot lights lighting its foliage as a feature.

I want to put up some christmas fairy lights in the tree fed from this 12v supply, disconnecting the spot lights temporarily.

All I see are 230v lights, but don't mention what the actual working voltage of the lights.

Any tips where I might find some operating on a 12v, even if it means removing the plug-in power supply.

thanks

If the lights come with a "wall-wart" power supply (transformer) then you may be lucky and find that the PSU output is 12V DC, which means they can be connected directly to your 12V supply.

Thanks,

Been looking and it appears the standard PSU output is 24v, so it looks if I will have run another cable through the duct from the Transformer to lights.
