I moved into a house with an ensuite that has a saniflo. It hasnt been fitted according to the instructions, there is no unswitched 5a fused spur. I can only source 13A unswitched fused spur. Can 13A spurs have a 5A fuse inserted?

It is strange the instructions specify an unswitched FCU, but they do.

Most specify a multipole switch with a separation gap of at least 3mm.

They must have their reasons.

They must have their reasons.

Chopping one's fingers off in a tank of toilet waste is not a good idea.

Anyone who works on a Saniflo ( or any other mascerator ) without an assured disconnection from the electrical supply is an idiot.

I'd have the fuse out tbh Bernard! Although I'd not have an electric poo grinder in the first place:sick:

I wired the supply for one at my Ma's place. With a switched FCU. Assures disconnection on both poles.

The worst that could happen if the supply is switched off is that the pan would fill up.
