I have a blue BS4343 socket that is used to plug in a folk lift charger.

I wish to move this socket 2 metres along the wall using a length of SWA cable, Will i need 2.5 or 4mm cable?

Also the socket is fed from a 32A breaker, is this the correct rating? The socket is rated at 16A so seams a bit high.

Cheers

The 16A socket should have a maximum breaker of 16A.A bigger one may have been fitted due to tripping due to inrush current if the socket has previuosly been used for an inductive load. This could be overcome by fitting a type C or type D breaker (preferably type D for a fork lift charger). By doing this though you will need to test the circuit Zs to see if it will still meet disconnection times.
2.5mm² SWA should be fine although there is no harm in fitting 4.0mm². Just check though that the cable from the DB is also correctly sized.
