Hi everyone,
for a radial circuit twin and earth 2.5mm 10m of length, which has a double socket and garage door unit on it, is a 16A MCB (B type) ok, or should a 20A be used?
Any help is appreciated - thanks.

What is the load? What is the loop impedance? What is the Reference Method where the cable is run? Does it have a RCD in circuit?

Unlikely you need a 20A MCB but not enough info to answer.

The load is only a garage door unit, for which I do not know the load at the moment but shouldn't be more than 1A, plus a double socket added next to the unit, which currently has no load and is just there in case necessary.
As mentioned in the subject it's a 17th edition compliant DB so it does have RCD, it's a dual RCD board. Hope that helps

Thank you

If you have added a new circuit yourself I hope you have notified as per Part p

That's up to him.

Zs and cable/load characteristics aren't - they have to be right.
