I like the idea of a solid mechanical connection and no inserts. This is the best system I've come across so far. This probably this or copper to be honest.

Your decision my friend but decent quality pushfit is fit for purpose and a hell of a lot easier and quicker, oh and cheaper.

Buteline were giving the crimp tools away if you spent £350 with them directly. I think they still are.
It should be a lot more reliable than push fit fittings that rely on an O-ring on the outside of the pipe to provide the seal.

Why 'should' it?
The brakes in your vehicle rely on O-rings!
Maybe I'd better ring my previous customers and tell them I need to come round and replace all of the pushfit I've installed, in their properties, with buteline!
Oh, and rip my own house apart and replace where I've used it!
I prefer soldered copper when I have full access to the work space but for myriad other situations hep is perfectly suitable!
Buteline fittings are bloody restrictive too no?

The O-rings on your braking system are made from Ethylene propylene, which is not the same as push fit fittings.
Still an O-ring!
