My property has 2 master sockets connected to the incoming phone line; the original one with all 4 extensions throughout the house which is installed at the front entrance, in the hallway.
A new separate one, just inside the living room from the hallway master socket, was installed by BT for another new main telephone and broadband, a few days ago.
The new point is working OK, but the old point only works with a telephone plugged in to that point at the hallway in the front entrance, but none of the extensions work, although these are connected daisy chain to that master socket, with the removable plug face. What could be the problem?
