2 Grand for new knob

A small size nut splitter will grip anything, or even a cheap self-grip wrench would serve.

Thanks all for the replys.

As for getting a new knob made or using another type
gives a bit of a problem, as the broken Knobby
is a bit special, as it has lugs on the back.
Well it did have before it disintegrated.

This allows you to go from 'off', to 'pilot' position,
holding in to light the pilot flame,
then further to fully 'on' position.

Without the knob you can go right round to 'on'
in one go !!

Will try and get a pict to post.

Many thanks all

manufacturers number for gas valve is K9049. It's a maclaren UK 48 RBB05. If you can't locate one I probably could but its about 150.00. Guess that saves you about 1750 though after you got someone to fit it.

Thanks Ollski

Makers part no in my manual is YK 48/B 001
Glow-worm part no K6466.

If you see one around, pinch the Knob,
will send you a tenner for it.
Thats the only bit I need.

Cheers

Doesn't look to bad in the picture
its the missing lugs on the back
that stop it working.

have you got the bit that broke off? I used to know people who'd make a casting of things like that.

That's a grey version of the more common blue knob I expect! Some of them are white too I think! Not sure what I did wth the last one I took out - floor of the van perhaps...
