2 way switch and change of cable ?

So if i swap the twin and earth drop thats currently there which is a (live and neutral being using as a switch live ,

for 3 core and earth where do i go from there

Then a 3 core to the next switch but as sparkwright said that will only give you a neutral at the one switch

You'd have to run a 3 core and a single sheathed brown core to the next switch, I wouldnt bother myself as I just switch all my lights on in the old fashioned way, but it's up to you I suppose

Ok well thanks for your help i need to look more in depth of what goes where in regards to com l1 and l2 on both switches

Or - a four-core cable or two twin and earth cables or ...

If you just run a 3 core from one switch to another...

Put the original red and black into L1 and L2 and put the new 3 core into , brown com black L1, grey L2 in both switches.

Sleeve the blacks and greys brown.
And earths green and yellow obviously.

Seams too much extra work to me that you may need an extra N at the second switch !

For me I would be putting in a single socket either side of the bed, and extra switch wires by bed and door. So you can have some nice bedside lights switched from multiple locations. And you will be very grateful for that junction box

Hmmm now your give the idea of bed lights so what if i wanted 2 way switchable ceiling lights with a bed light each side of the bed that could be turned on and off next to the bed but also on the wall on a 3 gang with the ceiling light
