2 wire Honeywell thermo to Hive

Hello,

I have just wired in my Hive thermostat for my hot water and heating.

I have replaced a Drayton 722. Hot water is fine.

The original thermostat was a Honeywell t40, it only had a live and neutral wire connected to pin 1 and 3.

my heating isn’t working but the light on the receiver does come on, do these 2 wires need to be joined together?

Yes, or set thermostat to maximum. It’s a live and switched.

it doesnt have a neutral , it is a live and a switched live
