Appliances
Problems / questions / issues to do with household appliances e.g. washing machines, diswashers (NOT boilers).

is what it says, yet also notice it says not boilers, but yet boiler questions still get asked as do tv questions etc.

why not change it to

"White goods" instead of appliances

I didn't know what white goods were until about four years ago.

What about the silver & stainless steel ones?

In the instructions that came with my washing machine, dish washer, tumble drier and cooker it calls them an "Appliance" rather than a "white good".

White Goods is more of a trade term for them, this being a DIY forum it is the end users that are more liable to be coming here for help about them and they will all know them as an "appliance" rather than "white goods". :D

I think that all thats needed for that forum is to correct the misspelt "diswashers ".

Well, it's not a white good, but it is an appliance :D

Why do women get married in white?

All kitchen appliances are white............ :D

The term ‘brown goods’ refers to household electrical entertainment appliances.

Think back to the days of wooden and bakelite radiograms
