2015 Ford Focus 1.0l

Hi, my daughters Focus went into limp mode and then stopped completely. It seems like the battery is flat as it won't turn over.
I have a basic OBD reader which shows P0340 and P0344 which I gather is a camshaft position sensor fault. Would this drain the battery or is it something else.

Just coincidence that battery has gone flat at same time. Not directly related

The car had just come off the motorway from a 50 mile journey could the alternator have failed and the fault codes not relevant.

It's possible. Not enough info to be able to answer fully.

Charge the battery and then try it, see how it is,take it from there
