I am running pipes from a biomass boiler to the house for hot water and central heating. I have had several different plumbers say different things about the size of pipe - 28mm or 35mm etc. What size should I use?

Start with kW loading.
Is it for radiators,/ undefloor/ constant temperature circuits/... ?

What biomass boiler did you go with in the end? Make and model etc.
What KW output is it rated for?

It might be more economical to split the pipe into two 22 mm rather than a single larger pipe.

You will need insulation and to keep vermin away!

Does anyone know the max temp rating of blue polythene water supply pipe as thats quite cheap?

uponoor make a fit for purpose preinsulatec pipe for burying underground...

I doubt that the OP ison a tight budget...not everyone wants cheap....

I seem to remember that insulation, good as it is, is about £6-£10 per meter!

But those who buy biomass boilers are rarely interested in the capital costs.
