Anybody know where one can buy 22mm burst pipe compression fittings? Had two from a sale at Homebase but used them on a "difficult to sprag" section of pipe. Can source 15mm but not 22...

Blimey £11 inc. VAT  Can't you get two 22mm compression couplers and an offcut of 22mm pipe?

never used one.
if you can get in to do it up then you can get in to solder two solder joints.

Legnth of pipe. 2x compression couplings. 22mm hss hole saw. take out stops. job done.

I would think 2 x Conex 301 and a short piece of pipe, plus the extra time, would cost more than the 10min job using the correct fitting.

Conex do a 301BP for burst pipes/repairs.

The fitting you mentioned is £20.94! (http://www.tbsmerchants.co.uk/cgi-bin/build/product/PGCO_Conex_Compression_Fittings.html)

Today, from a local merchants, I grabbed one of those little things that you can stick in a drill that sand things down (like a little rough stone ball on a stainless shank that goes in a drill).

Used that to sand away the thin ridge in a brass 22 compression - took a few minutes. Voila - have a slip compression coupler. Two of these with a piece of 22 just make life easier when a pipe will not "sprag" - as in when trying to insert a 22 T into a solid run of 22 (cut out length of pipe and replace with similar length with the T in and use the slip couplers.

Yes I know one can use end feed slip couplers but sometimes damp pipes necessitate compression or pushfit.
