2wire or 3wire switching

Hi guys, can anyone tell me the benefit/reason for 2wire switching or 3wire switching.
In my case i need to install a two way switch and was wondering if there are any reasons for one to the other

I don't understand what you mean.

Are you refering to the number of cores between the two switches?

depends on the particulars of the installation when deciding which method to use.

ie. you might use different methods in landing lights, kitchen lights, conduit install, multiple-gang plate installs.

the job in question is for kitchen ceiling lights

and what i guess i meant was two way switching with 3 wire control

You cannot have two-way with less than 3 wires, unless you use relays.
