I'm planning to paper one of external walls in the living room of my cottage. It has only ever been painted before. It doesn't seen to suffer from damp as it has had a chemical damp proof course injected in the past, but it is quite hard to tell as it can get very cold to touch in winter and it can be hard to tell the difference between a cold or slightly damp surface.
To be on the safe side I'm thinking of using a 3 in 1 damp proofing lining paper first. Does this stuff actually work, and are there any drawbacks to using it?
