50 Quid from nationwide

Are you sure? I have the flex account with less than a hundred quid in it, a credit card card owing nothing on it and two old isa accounts - one with just over £400 in and another with just 8p in it! I literally only pay £15 a month into it by DD to cover the insurance.

It depends on what type of Flex account you have.

The £100 bonus will be paid to Nationwide customers that have a current account, plus a “qualifying savings or mortgage product”.

In terms of the current account, if it’s the FlexPlus, you must have paid the monthly fee for maintaining the account.

For FlexOne, FlexStudent or FlexGraduate, you must have received at least one payment in or made one payment out of your account during March 2025.

For FlexAccount, FlexDirect or FlexBasic, you need to have met one of the following requirements:

  • In two of the three months of January 2025, February 2025 and March 2025, you must have received at least £500 into your current account (transfers in from other Nationwide accounts do not count), and have made at least two payments out of your current account. For example: you paid in £500 and made two payments out in both February and March 2025.
  • Or, in two of the three months of January 2025, February 2025 and March 2025, you must have made at least 10 payments out of your current account. For example: you made 10 payments out in January 2025 and 10 payments out in March 2025.

I got £100 this year and two years ago. Missed out last year.

I only use mine for EBay and didn't buy anything last year.

if you have a flex plus account then it doesnt matter how often its used or how much is in it savings account needs to have over 100 quid in it or over 100 quid owed on your mortgage

Just had a message saying it’s been paid today. I checked and because it’s a joint account, we got 2 x £100 paid into it.

I got my £100 today.

I might add it to my PBs they don’t mind if you go over the max a bit

Mrs Scally has a Nationwide flex account as do I as well as our household joint account, but the joint account does not attract any bonus payments, only the personal accounts. We used to be loyal Barclays customers until drawing cash involved too many intrusive questions (fekk off!). With Nationwide, a phone 2 days in advance has the cash waiting for either of us AND in the side office, not in full view of every scrote out there .. .. excellent faultless service(y)

I used to have a Barclays account when I was a penniless student in the early eighties.

The manager sent me letter informing me that I was ONLY £X.XX in credit and could I rectify the situation immediately?

I did.
I walked down there immediately on opening the letter and closed the account.

I handed the letter to the cashier who cheerfully asked, "Are you going to make a deposit today, Sir?"

"No, I'd like to make a withdrawal."

Dont forget that these bonuses we have had off them are treated as interest and you may be taxed on them afterwards so need to be declared on tax returns
