Hi!

The old dear next door to me has a shed roof with 3" gutter and a drain pipe leading to her water butt. It's old and brittle and broke in the recent freezing.

I went and got some 50mm downpipe but it's more like 55mm outside diameter. Hers is 50mm outside diameter. Would prefer to find some to match it cos all the clips and everything are already there.

Anyone know why there's a difference? Is it 50mm waste pipe rather than downpipe?

Cheers!

If its old it could be pre-metric, which leaves you no choice but to replace with new.
