Don't think you can go far wrong with modern pendants these days.
I personally would go for one with a metal lamp socket.
And if there's a choice, I'd go for a T2 (higher temperature) lamp holder.
MK ceiling accessories used to be cracking quality, but things have taken a dive, so personally I don't think they're worth paying extra for. Last used Crabtree over a decade ago, so don't know what they are like now.
I had to fit what my wife liked, however did fit plug in ceiling roses, so if some thing goes wrong with living room chandelier, I can quickly swap with one from dinning room. Also could do all the work without an great weight to hold up, once all wired, then lift and slide into place.
Pity about having to carve out plaster to get it to slide in and out. Need to do rest so it matches. Would avoid any with G9 bulbs, can't find any smart G9 bulbs, and any neutral less electronic switch tends to make G9 bulbs flicker, and although you can get small ones where cover will fit over them, they flicker, so end up with large, so covers don't fit.
Thanks it’s only to provide a light in cupboards after removing the old Baton holders and as they have high ceilings I thought to change from Baton holder to lamp holder
