6 inch extractor fan

i am fitting one in my kitchen (off the ceiling light)
Q. do i need to put an isolator switch on it?

Yes.

But you'll get annoyed with it being on when you're having your cornflakes at 6 in the morning and trying to watch the news. Give it its own switch.

Don't take that bowl of flakes too near the fan when its on, or they are gone!
