A leak on the pipe to the stop cock

We came home yesterday to find the laminate flooring in the front room has started rising and when pressing down on it water comes through.

After inspection I have followed the water marks and rising flooring to the shoe cupboard which has the stop cock in it. The carpet is a bit wet and the pipe is slightly wet too. Please help, i have no idea what to do.

Can you see which side of the stopcock the leak is coming from?

Its just underneath the actual handle i think

Could just need the gland repacking or tightening slightly.

I've just confirmed it with my boyfriend and its on the pipe which is connected to the tap and the join below

Going to sound a bit dumb here but what does that mean?

Is it lead or plastic pipe coming out of the floor. Could just need the nut tightening.

Its copper. I'll have a look tonight and try and tighten everything and i'll let you know
