you are simply splitting hairs, the biggest 4x4's are no more than 4 inches wider than a ford fiesta. FACT.

Maybe the drivers are just a lot fatter than normal car drivers, so need to open their doors more to get out, and that is where the problem lies in car parks.
Together with a 'I don't give a toss' attitude so they park crap too. Put them in the far corner and make them walk I say..

And by the same token all subaru drivers should be forced to park out of sight so peoples eyes aren't offended by their pig ugly vehicles.
Doesn't bother me, I always thought it said 'Wife and three kids' and that didn't bother me either. Cars are functional (unless I'm in the mood for a bit of a laff then I nick the missus porsche)
However my subie was the best snow car on the road in an environment where twenty feet of snow falling in a month was not particularly unusual.
And it was white so you couldn't see it anyway. Which would have been a problem if I did go off the road as in those places I wouldn't be found until the spring thaw.

Well Eddie. to me.. I'm of the opinion that porsches are feminine. And driving a porsche is nothing to do with being seen in it, or having a masculine need to be top dog. In fact the fewer other people around the better. they just get in yer way.
I can't stand 4x4's or the 'usual' inconsiderate idiots* who drive them.
Why?
1/ Because they are larger (regardless of what anyone says, they are larger than your average car) and that means they're going to be over my side of the road far more often whilst they try and get past that cyclist or parked cars etc.
2/ When one pulls up next to me at a junction or roundabout, because of their height, I now can't see that way, (you can see through the windows of normal height cars) so I have to wait for them to go before I can move. Thanks very much.
3/ Same problem on the open road with one in front of you - because of their height, I now can't see past them, I can't see what's going on ahead of that car, so I now have to either drop right back or change lanes to see in front of them.
They're a menace, almost as bad as cyclists! They make life far more difficult for other drivers.
*There are always exceptions to every rule, I know I'm generalising here and I genuinely mean no-one any offence by this, so please don't take it that way!

Iwonder why 4x4 haters dont hate everthing bigger than the average family car do they hate people carriers that are 2wd would they hate them if they were 4wd???
