A14 Upgrade (tolls)

Just been announced.

The upgrade of the A14 through Hunts will go ahead but the road will NOT be tolled.

YAY !

Why should us locals be tolled just because the road runs through our area ?
Does Luton pay a toll just because the M1 upgrade runs passed their place ?

Anyway.. On each of the proposals I stated "No Tolls"

Looks like a lot of other people (& businesses) did too

Good news for you mate. We could achieve a lots of things in this country if we all stuck together but of course we rarely do.

We still pay for the Dartford crossing which was paid for years ago but they decided to carry on charging anyway. £2 a go now.

The first Mersey Tunnel was built in 1934 and is still charging about £1.60 last time I was up there.
