As you have no vented cavity your aim would be to prevent moisture entering the structure from either side hence butyl taping the wall and floor dpm and vcl under plasterboard.

Yes I agree, VCL is under plasterboard and we will have a floor DPM, but I'm turning over woody's suggestion in my head of a poly-barrier against the wall side and I just don't know how it would be a superior choice over the breathable member which is in-situ given the vapour, if not evaporated will rot the wood and insulation if an impermeable barrier be installed.
Yours is a bit of a hybrid set up but understand your reasoning.
Your main concern would be to get the 1200guage membrane down under and stapled to the back of the stud.
Make sure the membrane on the external side of the stud overlaps the dpm...that set up will keep you dry.

This was the cause of the damp in the first place. No gutter to catch rain water causing it to trickle down exterior wall and soak mud. The downpipe is still draining into the mud but its catching all roof water now.
