i have an accenta 6 alarm that shows a tamper fault light on the keypad and the strobe light is flashing. In the main wiring center (when disconnected from mains) 6 circuits are wired in, the 7th (labled PA) is linked out and the 8th labled TAMP also wired.

All of the pairs of wires buzz out as open circuit except no.2 which is closed circuit and obviously no .7 which is linked out.

The circuit labled TAMP is also open circuit.

Am i correct in assuming that the TAMP circuit is a sort of ‘daisy chain’ linking all of the zones/sensors in turn And should ‘buzz out’ as closed circuit ?

Is it likely that the problem lies with zone 2 that is short closed circuit.

If i were to remove or link out a circuit what is the procedure?

Many thanks.

All zones are closed ....if ok open if faulty ...probably blown fuse at a guess without knowing what devices are on each zone !

Thanks but checked all the fuses in the panel and all ok. Does that mean that all the circuits except no.2 are faulty. Am i right about how the tamper circuit is wired ? Thanks.
