Hi we have this alarm and it has always been switched on but we never set it. Recently the electricity went off and came back on within 10 seconds and the alarm went off and the only way I could turn it off was to turn the switch off in the main fuse box.

Can anyone help, we have no code and no manual?? Could it be the battery

Probably is the battery but without a code it will activate whenever you switch it on now. It needs resetting and programming again.

I would imagine your standby battery is flat, if you've switched off the mains and the keypad is off.

Just leave it off if you don't have the code and you never use it.

You could get an alarm engineer to default/ set up new codes and replace the battery

Or you could try defaulting the codes and fitting a new battery yourself.

Google the engineer,manual, the defaulting info will be in it. I'm not sure whether you can do a code only default or whether you have to default the entire system and reprogram it from scratch

Thanks, yes ive left it off, only thing is we have sold our house and new owners move in on Friday but we haven't been asked anything about it so I am inclined to leave it

Hi I have now found the code and can turn off the alarm inside and it goes back to Day and Power lit. The outside bell is not resetting though. Any ideas how to do this?? Many thanks

Bell not resetting ? Are you saying it's ringing ?
