Ok,

I currently have one light and a switch at either end of the room. I want to make it two light in the ceiling. Currently one ceiling rose has a light with two main feeds.

How do I add an additional light (with ceiling rose).

Can i jsut feed of the original light fitting ? or must i remove one feed and placve it into the second light but connecting the lights also to make a ring?

1 =======¦Light
2 =======¦fitting

change to

1=======¦light 1¦=======¦light 2¦=========2

Hope this makes sense.

Do you have one light fitting switched via two switches at the moment?

Do you want to add a seconf fitting in the same room switched by the same two switches?

If so, just take a twin & earth from the existing rose connected to switched live, neutral & earth & connect another rose on the end of it.

They are two different things altogether so isn't really right to compare them.
Basically you need to parallel the sw live, neutral and earth from one light to the other.

sorrry what do u mean by parallel

so one off s/w live to live on new rose, one off neutral and one off earth.

No feed back ?

Thanks
