Not necessarily - if it ends up at <50mm from the surface on the other side, and the wall is >100mm thick OR if the position of the accessory cannot be determined from the other side, then the safe zone does not extend to the other side.

To be fair I did this today and yes the angle wasn't 45 degrees, more like 70-80.

Im still intregued as to how you can get a pretty standard ring final down a half inch hammered in conduit
