Adding a heated towel rail above radiator

Hi Everybody,

A follow up as at last I've managed to fit the towel rail, plumb it in and it's working better than I expected :D

I managed to take a picture so you can just about see what I've done in my tiny bathroom. It isn't getting as hot as the rad but it isn't far off, the rad gets too hot to hold on to in a few minutes and the towel rail is taking 15 to 20 to get to a similar point.

It will definitely dry towels so I'm pleased.

Thank you everyone for your help, this certainly works.

You should've routed the chrome pipe such that it also acted as a toilet roll holder and, more importantly, toilet roll warmer. Now that's luxury.

I think this is a great idea

If only i could figure out how to have a single rad on in my bathroom, i would definately do this.

Cheers

Hahaha thats inventive. Try closing down one of the valves on the bottom rad and you will balance them. A little tweeking and you should get them up to temperature simultaniously

i am about a year late to this post, but i wonder why the diy stores don't stock this add on, can i be the only one who's wanted this 4 years?
marketing possibility or not?
