adding to a ring main

Hi
I have a ring main in my house, If I wanted to add another socket to it could I fix a socket in place then from a wire currently in another socket run that into the new socket then run a cable back into the original so that the new socket is in between the old and the new, also can i use a 30amp connector to extend the wire and put it in a chocbox surface mounted?

Better to use a 30A Junction Box. But it has to be accessible.
