I need to add a zone valve to the bottom pipe...

I was planning on using a 15-22mm reducer set (within the zone valve) to get the 15mm pipe to fit the 22mm zone valve.

It's going to be a tight fit...! Before I cut the pipe, will I actually be able to get it in there or is it going to be nightmare....?!

Advice please...

I have to ask, why do you need to, it's obviously been quite happy for some time

I would say 'just' but it's hard to tell from the picture.

Getting to the nuts is gonna be a bugger.

Could it not go on the vertical bit of pipe?

Reason - zoning the heating.

The vertical bit of the pipe disappears up behind a radiator.

There is a plan b where there is marginally more room, but it will be more visible there.....
