Hi there
I have my system powered up with the rkp and internal speaker connected
When I first connected the battery the alarm went off.
Now I want to add a mag sensor.
So to shut the system down i just remove the battery and mains.
What is the best way to power it back up without a racket being made at this time of night.
Connect mains then battery or have someone waiting to input the engineer code at the rkp?

Excellent I have done that, just for reading the manual it said you should power down the system when making wiring in sensors etc.
I will now open the cover and add the sensor excellent news.
Thanks

It is good practice if your unsure.
Just be careful.
There is mains present and can kill.

Its ok if your adding magnetic contacts, but if your adding powered detectors like PIR just be care full not to touch the auxiliary power wires together usually red & black, As you will blow a fuse in your panel :)
